Our Friends, Soul Mates, Family, they were there when we needed them most.

Some words about Mugsy and Allie from Boxer Rescue Ontario member and supporter, Karen Reid...

Mugsy was rescued from the local pound when he was 9 months old and even though he had many medical issues over the years, he made it to 10 1/2 years. He was my first boxer fur baby and Allie came into our lives when she was 2 years of age and Mugsy was 4 years of age. It was love at first sight for both of them and Allie was very lonely when we had to say goodbye to Mugsy.

Three years ago we added a new addition to our family which was a 7 week old boxer puppy which we named Rocky. Allie was aging and I truly believe by bringing Rocky into our family, that it added years of life to Allie. She was the best momma to Rocky and they were always attached at the hip. Sadly this past August Allie died suddenly in the arms of my husband, from a ruptured tumor in liver. As heartbreaking as it was, she did not suffer and crossed the bridged in her favorite place which was outside with the sun shining and she left us knowing she was loved. She was 12 years old.
