Our Friends, Soul Mates, Family, they were there when we needed them most.

Willow became a part of our family in Jan 2002. She was approximately 18 months old at the time. She was born deaf, which to her was not an issue  as she knew nothing else. I have to say we initially had some anxiety about her deafness, but when we met her ,all those fears passed. She was attentive, warm, affectionate and just wanted to be loved..She taught us that she did not have a challenge, only humans do!. The sign language she knew from her previous foster was extremely helpful, but as the years went by, she responded more to your body language or facial expression.

WE enjoyed 10 wonderful years with her, many summers spent at our trailer on Lake Huron, where she proved she was a boxer who could swim! She enjoyed boating, trying to dig her way to China at the beach, long walks  and many a campfire. The first snowfall was always fun too..she often tried again to dig to China.

She remained always so young  and spry until a few months ago, even facially she never showed her age. One day her body began to betray her and her youthful spirit was to be no  longer. It was difficult to say goodbye ,as she was ever our sidekick, Not very often was she in a different room from us. On Jan.21 ,2013 we said our last goodbye and wished her well on her journey over the rainbow bridge.

To our sweet Miss Willow  aka white lightening, Babes, &  Miss Princess, we miss lots, some day we ‘ll meet again.  Mommy & Daddy
