Our Friends, Soul Mates, Family, they were there when we needed them most.

We adopted Banger (known as Hammer at the time) about 8 years ago. He had an energetic life hiking, walking, camping, and driving around Canada with us for 7 years, even pulling our daughter in a toboggan in the winter and dressing as a zebra on Halloween!  It took a while to teach him to stop counter surfing, but not before he ate a full box of Krispy Kremes,Xmas cake, and even a loaf of bread in the bag! He may have learned these habits in his first 3 years of life where he may have experienced a bit of neglect, but after  moving in with us he adjusted well, learning that he can only get on the bed on Sunday mornings. He never enjoyed swimming, but the never ending beach was heaven for him. Sadly, his fight against cancer brought him to a halt when he was 10 years old. If he could have talked (beside through his loud deep bark), I am sure he would have said, "Thanks for rescuing me and finding me a good warm home".

Thank you everybody involved, even the original family that realized they didn't have enough time or energy to give him the attention he craved,James, Ruth, Cimm, and the remaining boxer, Aja
